Project Overview
On February 2012, Global Brigades completed the renovation of the water system in the community of El Jute that now feeds water to 316 community members.
El Jute, Honduras
The community of El Jute is located in El Paraiso on the southeastern side of Honduras. When Global Brigades arrived at the community in 2011 to design a water system, community members expressed that the community had a water system that was built years ago and some of the pipelines needed fixing or replacement.
Water System Solution
After the general assessment done by Global Brigades in 2011, the solution for El Jute was to improve the connections of the 10,000-gallon water tank that was in the community, the new pipelines feed the 316 community members. The improvement of this water system was finished in February 2012.
